About The Tour
Discover the beauty of northern Croatia, a region with one of the most fascinating and enduring histories in the world.
KUMROVEC
Kumrovec Old Village Museum, the best-preserved traditional village in Croatia. This open-air museum offers a glimpse into rural life at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, with authentic wooden houses, workshops, and farm buildings restored to their original form. Walk through cobblestone paths, explore traditional crafts, but also visit the birth house of ex-Yu president Josip Broz Tito.
KRAPINA
Scientifically known as Homo sapiens neanderthalensis, the Krapina Neanderthal was discovered in 1899 during geological and paleontological research on Hušnjakovo Hill in Krapina. Today, you can visit the very place where your “long-lost cousins” lived roughly 125,000 years ago. The modern Krapina Neanderthal Museum is a unique and immersive complex, designed to evoke the environment and daily life of prehistoric humans.
TRAKOŠĆAN
Imagine a fairytale castle—majestic, timeless, and perched high above a serene landscape. That is exactly what Trakošćan looks like. This breathtaking castle, one of the most visited in Croatia, stands proudly atop a hill surrounded by a tranquil lake and the rolling scenery of the Croatian Zagorje. Inside, a museum with a permanent exhibition offers a vivid glimpse into the lives of nobles and the elegance of bygone centuries.
